Chapter C, Special Thanks

I want to take a minute and thank a very special group of people. These people work hard each and everyday continuing to carry out our mission as DreamRiders.

They all have loving and caring hearts for the Kids of our community and surrounding areas and they have a love for DreamRiders Chapter C.

It is very important to me to let my community know how much we as a Chapter appreciate your support but without these special individuals and our community support none of this would be possible.

With that being said. I want to thank all my members of Chapter C for all the hard work and time that y’all have put into making this chapter successful and being able to help out the kids. Y’all are doing a great job. Keep up the good work. Love you all.

Thank you.

Chapter C, Amory MS. Toy Drive

Christmas is fast approaching. Dream Riders Chapter C will be doing a toy drive this year. Toys R Us was our main sponsor every year during Christmas but they have gone out of business so we are having to seek elsewhere for donations. We are asking you and our community to help us continue to be able to hand out toys and help families as we have always done during this special time of the year but we can’t do it this year without your help.

We ask that all toys are new for boys or girls of any age.Toys can be dropped off at Piggly wiggly of Amory, Life Springs of Amory both Renasant Bank locations in Amory and Hardee’s of Amory. We have added a donate button if anyone would like to give any money that will also go towards helping out for this special cause.Or you can mail your donation to
60053 Country Lane
Amory Ms 38821
Please feel free to share this post and spread the word to family and friends. Drop off day ends December 1st. Thank you.

This was the 3rd year of the fishing rodeo held at Legion Lake in Houston, and from the beginning Chapter H has been there from the beginning.

We have grown every year in numbers of children that attend. It has been an extreme pleasure to see the smiles on the faces of the kids that catch a fish for the very first time. And to see parents with their kids having a good time and working together to catch THE BIG ONE.

There are always prizes and give-a-ways for all the kids, and hot dogs for lunch provided by Woodman of the World.

This year we also had Community Addiction Awareness, an organization that helped out in maintaining order and lending out a helping hand to kids and family that needed assistance during the rodeo.

As a rule each Dream Rider Chapter does not have a specific region to work in, but when we come across a need that may be closer to a specific chapter, we dont just hand off information to that chapter and walk away. We try to share in the joy of helping a child in need and strengthening our relationships.

20 Years Of Biking For Children

Celebrating Together

The first weekend of June is when the annual Bridgette Raine’s Scholarship ride is held in Coffeeville MS. This year, 2018, happen to be the 20th year of our organization. So many children have taken hold of the Dream Rider’s hearts and allowed us to show them and their family love.

Spaghetti Scolarship Super

Dream Rider’s Chapter H held there annual spaghetti meal back in April as a fundraiser for our scholarships. We lost a great member of our group a few months ago so we decided to change the name to the “Roundman” Clay Nabors Scholarship Fund. Our group was blessed to have a great turnout for this event.

Katelin Grace Stone’s BIG day!

Katey Grace had big news

If you remember we meet Katelin Grace back in April 2017. Chapter  H met with her parents to find out to what extent we could help, if they needed help, what they felt was the most important need that Katelin had, and what was the most important need of the family as a whole, because they did have 3 other children to consider also.

Chapter H teamed up with the church congregation and organized an auction and spaghetti super. Before the actual super, we spent the whole day at the church and provided “Tacos in a bag” , cotton candy and popcorn.

Katelin Grace was diagnosed with many different issues that I am not even going to try to mention. She eventually lost all of her hair and spent many, many, many nights in St. Judes hospital in Memphis TN.  Her family spent many night in the Ronald McDonald House, which is one amazing organization all on it’s on.

Back in the summer of 2017 Katelin and her family were told that she had only a few weeks to live. Of course the strong faith in God and belief that she would be comforted, they never slacked up on her meds or prayers. No one else ceased to pray either.

As of December 2017, Katelin Grace made the announcement the she now cancer free. What a celebration that day was when she announced to wonderful news. She stood before the congregation that continued to pray for her and her brothers and sisters in Dream Riders and announced it to the world.

SHE WAS CANCER FREE.!!!!!

Katelin Grace still has issues to deal with and will probably have those for a very long time, but now she was able to go to school, she was able to do some things that any other child her age would get to do.

We are so blessed to call Katelin Grace our sister “SUNSHINE”, and has warmed our hearts as she wants to pay, the kindness showed to her,   forward. She has attended some of our events and lent a helping hand, and continues to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

THANK YOU KATELIN GRACE FOR ALL YOU DO !!!

AND THANK YOU FOR YOU DO !!

Stew For A Cause, Chapter H, Houston MS

Stew For A Cause

For three years now, in November, we have hosted a stew cooking fundraiser. Houston Fire Department is very gracious in letting us use their facility, being right off the square in Houston makes it very convenient.

Stew For a Cause, Chapter H,
We even sold it by the gallon

It takes a lot of time making about 30 gallons of stew, but it is well worth the time to raise money to help kids that may not have a Christmas this year.

Stew For aCause, Chapter H
Blessed to have Friends That come and support us.

Since our first year of hosting the stew cooking, we decided to set this money aside to help with Christmas for local families in need. We all know that whether you get a Christmas gift or not is not a necessity, but the community we serve is so loyal in coming together to help us put smiles on those kids faces, simply because we love the kids of our community.

Blessed to have Friends That come and support us.

We had friends come from out of town just to get a bowl of stew and also other Dream Rider members took the ride down to spend the day with us.

Sweet Potato Festival, Vardaman MS

Sweet Potato Festival

Every year the first weekend in November there is a festival held in Vardaman Ms, it is usually a very big deal, celebrating the harvest of Mississippi Sweet Potatoes.

Dream Riders Chapter H was privileged enough to be able to go and set up to get our mission out to the people of Calhoun County. We have made so many friends and have new family members there as well, we have been very blessed.

Katlyn Grace has become one of our biggest fans and the best little sister we could have. If you remember we had a benefit for her several months back. She has come a long way and has an awesome story to tell.
