Chapter H members had never heard of the EARS program in Houston. The Education Awareness Resource Service has been lending a huge helping hand in the Houston community for several years now.
Dream Riders Chapter H was honored to be a part of the graduation ceremony, where our president “Rooster” Gann was asked to come and say a few words to the class. As a group, we gave out goodies and mingled with the kids and teachers.
We all had a good time talking to the teachers and helpers the volunteer their time freely to help children in our community succeed.
Thank you for all you do, to those teachers that volunteer their love of teaching and love for children and love for making our community strong.
Fishing Rodeo in Houston MS was another great success. Dream Riders Chapter H was honored to be able to help again.
This was the 3rd year of the fishing rodeo held at Legion Lake in Houston, and from the beginning Chapter H has been there from the beginning.
We have grown every year in numbers of children that attend. It has been an extreme pleasure to see the smiles on the faces of the kids that catch a fish for the very first time. And to see parents with their kids having a good time and working together to catch THE BIG ONE.
There are always prizes and give-a-ways for all the kids, and hot dogs for lunch provided by Woodman of the World.
This year we also had Community Addiction Awareness, an organization that helped out in maintaining order and lending out a helping hand to kids and family that needed assistance during the rodeo.
This is such a fun event and Chapter H is proud to be able to serve the community at this event.
Thank you again for all you do, without your help we could not continue to do what we do.
Chapter H heard about Jess through our member Herb. Jess is 17 and goes everywhere on his bicycle because of his physical disabilities.
As a rule each Dream Rider Chapter does not have a specific region to work in, but when we come across a need that may be closer to a specific chapter, we dont just hand off information to that chapter and walk away. We try to share in the joy of helping a child in need and strengthening our relationships.
This is where Jess fell, Chapter A & H worked together to fill the need that he had. Then came together to deliver and share smiles and love with the family.
Jess is a very special young man and will hold a place in our hearts for ever.
Thank you for all you do, if not for help and donations of our comunity we couldn’d do what we do.
